Yes. Businesses that generate large volumes of glass may be required by their waste provider to collect it separately to support efficient recycling and reduce contamination. Separately, the Environmental Protection Act 1990 places a Duty of Care on businesses, requiring them to store waste safely, use authorised waste carriers, and retain Waste Transfer Notes (WTNs) for their waste collections.
