The treatment process depends on the type of waste collected. General waste is typically sent to an Energy from Waste (EFW) facility, where it is processed to generate energy.
Dry mixed recycling and glass waste are transported to specialist recycling facilities for sorting and material recovery, while food waste is sent to anaerobic digestion facilities where it is broken down to produce renewable gas used for heat and electricity generation.
At Enviro Waste Management, landfill is not part of our waste management approach.
General waste that cannot be recycled are processed through Energy from Waste (EFW) facilities. Here, waste is safely incinerated under controlled conditions to generate energy, helping reduce reliance on landfill while recovering value from non-recyclable materials.
