This is a very difficult question to answer. There are many variables which impact pricing, so I thought I would start a series on real office clearances we have completed, to help you get an idea what yours might cost.

Travel time impacts the cost of the collection.
We look at your location to see where we can park and load. In this case there was no legal stopping or parking place available close by. It is not safe to ask our Collections Team to walk long distances carrying waste and unwanted items, or to cross roads. Our plan in this case was to park a street away where we could stop legally, and then as a load was readied for collection our driver would stop outside the front door on a very wise footpath, and our team would quickly load and leave.
We had to allow PCNs for this collection, and a Team Member to manage pedestrian activity whilst we were loading.
🏢 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:
5 storey, single occupant office building. Client was downsizing and reconfiguring the space in the building they were keeping.
Approx. 500 workstations were removed (one workstation is a desk, a chair & a pedestal).
Various cupboards, cabinets, tambours, screen dividers, desk dividers, sofas, meeting room tables and chairs were removed.
Our quotes consider the labour needed to dismantle, separate, and then remove all waste and unwanted items. In this case we used five Collection Team Members and 1 Driver, all overseen by 1 Project Manager.
As per all of our collection, all reporting is included within the cost.
😎 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:
We completely avoided POP charges for this collection as we were able to pass on all chairs and sofas for reuse.
Persistent Organic Pollutant (POP) charges are now needed as the Environment Agency has imposed strict regulations on how items that contain POPs are treated (recycled). These POPs are hazardous chemicals used within the manufacturing process, which can get airborne during recycling and be inhaled.
